Father's day was a couple weeks ago, and I was traveling to Mexico for a missions trip to help bless a family with a home. We tend to go all out for Mother's day and shower our mom's with gifts, a nice dinner out, or a day off being in charge, but we don't seem to go the distance for our dads. Even I had forgotten to write a card to say "thank you for being a wonderful role model."
So I loved it when Meggan came to me with this idea to have her daughter make a music video to gift to her dad for father's day. Belle had practiced the song for weeks, got it recorded with another friend, and then we went out the next day to film.
I have never done a session by the Platte River, mosquitoes and mud have probably lent to my aversion of anywhere of the like, but I was driving home one evening and saw this beautiful bridge, so I took a little detour, parked, and walked out to what I saw. It was perfect. And Belle thought so too when she discovered that running through the grasses and playing in the water was a dream come true!
And to cap it off, here is the video... enjoy and happy late Father's Day!
