Jason & Micaela | Perry Park Country Club, Larkspur, CO

A blog the day after the wedding? Is this for real! I had the honor of photographing Jason and Micaela's spring wedding last night. I've known Micaela for several years, we met in a church youth group, and I've gotten to see the incredible woman she has become. I'd be lying if I said I didn't tear up during their wedding day.

They met at Jason's sister's wedding, a week before Micaela was due to go back to Uganda, and both of them were completely caught off guard by the sparks flying. For three years, they traveled back and forth across the world, sending letters, telegrams, and making phone calls while Jason was in the USA and Micaela in Africa. I am amazed at their strength, their love, and their love for God. You had a beautiul wedding, and you will have a beautiful life together. Congratulations! The best is yet to come!

Ryan & Meghin | From "Will you?" to "I Do" Denver Wedding

Oh dear or dear, it looks like I've gotten behind on my blogging...

Ryan and Meghin tied the knot on August 28th, 2016. It was right around this time that Ryan proposed to the girl of his dreams. What was supposed to be a proposal at a remote restaurant in the mountains turned into a surprise in the railroad car at the Old Spaghetti Factor in Denver due to one of Colorado's not so rare spring storms that shut down I-70.

But everything has a way of working out perfectly. Even with our surprise snow storm. These two did not want to waste any time with a long engagement and planned their wedding in less than 4 months! But why wait? Why add all the stress when you know you want to start spending the rest of your life with the love of your life? Almost 4 months later, they said "I Do" at their church in Lakewood.

From Meghin's excitement throughout the ceremony to the beautiful few minutes we got before going to the reception, this wedding was full of personality, family, emotion, and a pizza buffet! They were literally jumping for joy!

{Senior} Leah Deminski; Evergreen, Colorado

Leah and I have been friends for a long time, I've photographed her family over the last few years, and she and I went to school together, and now, this bright, young woman is in her final year of high school! I am so honored to have gotten to take your photos, to see you grow up, change, and overcome obstacles of life has been so fun. I really do hope for nothing but the best for you, Leah. I hope you find great success, that you get into your dream college, and that you follow your passions!

{Engagement} Shawna and Jason; Mt. Evans, Colorado

I have amazing clients. And that's an understatement. I get the clients that brave the weather, hike mountains and are willing to go just about anywhere for the perfect shot.

Shawna and Jason were seriously the best. We had to reschedule maybe two or three times due to snow, road closures, and a late winter season, we finally got to go up Mt. Evans! Rain was in the forecast and we considered rescheduling again, but we decided to just roll with it, and it ended up being incredible.

It was rainy, moody, foggy, and the higher up we went, the more like Iceland it began to look. But then we got to Summit Lake, and it started to pour, hard. So we waited it out a bit, and drove up a bit higher to the summit. I had hoped to hike up to the top for those breath-taking views, but the fog was rolling in quick, so we headed back down.

It ended up being perfect timing as we made our way down, the fog broke up, a rainbow came out, and when we got back to the lake, the sun made its first appearance and I have never been happier

This is probably one of the most photo-heavy blogs I've written simply because I am so in love with all of their photos! If you are the adventurous type and want this kind of a session, please, don't hesitate to call me! I love the mountains, adventures, and people in love!
